Description

Two amazing Phenomenology events for qualitative researchers taking place at the University of Greenwich in June 2024 led by Professor Lesley Dibley (UoG), Professor Susan Crowther (AUT), Dr. Mel Duffy (DCU) and Professor Gill Thomson (UcLAN). Join us for one or both of these events.

24th to 27th June 2024:

'Thinking about Thinking' Summer School: For qualitative researchers working in, aspiring to work in or curious about hermeneutic phenomenology. This is an in-person event for any qualitative researcher wishing to learn about, explore and enhance the possibilities of a hermeneutic phenomenological approach. You will work in small groups with experienced researchers and supervisors, have the space to explore the potential of this methodology for your work and meet others with similar methodological interests.

28th June 2023
Authentic Care in Health and Social Care, and Education Conference: For qualitative researchers working in, aspiring to work in or curious about hermeneutic phenomenology. This is an in-person event for any qualitative researcher wishing to engage with experienced researchers and practitioners in the field and to network with others working in phenomenological theory and practice. This conference will go beyond considering how we work theoretically and methodologically by also challenging how we think about what happens after the research is completed. You will hear examples of hermeneutic studies and practice, discuss conceptual frameworks and debate methodological controversies. This conference will be a space to push the boundaries of exploring why we work phenomenologically, and how our work can have benefit beyond academia. This will be available both online and in person. In person delegates will benefit from a networking lunch.
